How to use the Evidence Mapper

The Evidence Mapper is a unique platform that supports your systematic literature review and data synthesis needs.

The platform allows you to do the following:

  • Upload and deduplicate searches from Embase, PubMed, Cochrane Library and other sources
  • Allocate abstracts for single or double screening
  • Assess screening progress
  • Reconcile screening decisions
  • Shortlist studies for inclusion in an SLR or Evidence Map
  • Index relevant abstracts by topic of interest in an Evidence Map
  • View the results and drill down to rapidly identify the key publications on any subtopic

Our computer-assisted indexers help you identify the key terms in the content to help you select relevant abstracts and index them according to topic.

When you commission an Evidence Mapper project from Crystallise, we can rapidly identify, shortlist, index and publish the evidence you need in an Evidence Map, with  typically just 4 to 6 weeks from kick-off meeting to publishing the Map. We can also use our in-house Networker tool to use the output of the Evidence Mapper to determine whether a network meta-analysis might be feasible and to help you design Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials by identifying the best comparators and outcomes to allow the strongest direct and indirect comparison between your new product and its main competitors.

When you subscribe to the Evidence Mapper, you can streamline your own Systematic Literature Review processes as well as providing your clients with the advantages of Evidence Maps to differentiate your offer from other agencies.

Our ongoing development strategy means that we will be regularly adding new artificial intelligence tools to assist with screening and indexing and new in-built data visualisation functionality.
